Safe Space Saturday's is intended to be a series of conversations about mental health and self care with the goal to help us connect us to resources, share our experiences and a space to connect while we heal. Part 1 of the series will kick off in January. "Does checking goes off have you in a chokehold" will focus on decreasing the stigma that if you're not working on or accomplishing goals in a timely manner you're not doing something right. Chasing goals can cause anxiety, how do we create a healthy work/life balance? Join the conversation. Proceeds from this series will go towards The Millennial Light annual Pack Lite walk and BrownGirl SPACE mental health assistance fund. Destiny Simon, MHA is the Founder of The Millennial Insight and a mission driven mental health advocate, creative and program coordinator. Destiny obtained her Masters in Health Administration from Saint Joseph's University and used her refined skillset to create a small business dedicated to providing a safe place for young adults who are facing adversity. Her experience in case management and trauma informed care piqued her interest to facilitate interactive community workshops, that focus on mental health, self awareness, grief, depression and harm reduction.
