Description
Drummer looking for bass, guitar, vocalists, keyboard player to start a rock/soul/funk band. I am experienced in many styles, can harmonize and have a spacious rehearsal space available. I am just getting back into playing after a pretty long hiatus. I'm in my 50s and work full time so ideally I would like to rehearse 1-2 nights per week at first and then pursue gigs once we get a set together. I want to make a little scratch, but also jam, groove and get the audience moving and dancing with mixture of old and new, rock and funk/soul. Some songs/styles I'd like to explore Aretha (Chain of Fools), Bowie (Let's Dance, Stay), Stones (Miss You, Slave), James Brown, Robert Palmer, Isley Brothers, Todd Rundgren, Stevie Wonder, Chili Peppers, Beatles, Chaka Khan, Herbie Hancock, Jeff Beck, Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn and a hint of reggae and blues. These are just a few, but I am open to other influences, songs, styles as long as it feels good and it makes the audience move.
