They used to say anyone who was anti-globalization was a 'Protectionist', or a 'Nationalist', or a 'Xenophobe'. But why do I get a sneaking suspicion that globalization is now a necessary ingredient in maintaining a system which carries with it inequality and environmental degradation? Should left-wing people start to consider an anti-globalist stance? Would a system of local production, and local investment, benefit all of us- everyone from workers, to merchants, to animals living in the Sea? If you think I'm onto something, send me an email.
