The OP inadvertently hit the nail on the head, pointing out the fact that democrats did what they were told to do, no matter how detrimental it was to our country. At least, the republicans still have the ability to think for themselves and not be forced to go against their better judgement and vote for a man who is no better than the worst democrat. I understand that being able to think for yourself and to do what is best for our country is not something a democrat can understand but it was what our founding fathers intended our elected officials to do. I will take an elected official who puts his/her country and his/her constituents above politics and party, even of a democrat were to develop a set and vote for our country instead of it's party.
