Yes you may surrender your animals to the SPCA, doesn’t mean they won’t be killed. Your dog has to be pretty much perfect. If your dog has ANY behavioral issues, it will be euthanized. If your dog is stressed in a kennel environment, it will be euthanized. The surrender fee you pay, is what it would cost to euthanize. People need to know the truth. Do you think all these cute puppies coming in from the south get a free ride? Your monetary donations help bring them on a paid transport. So keep donating to the glorious SPCA, while other shelters are at their maximum capacity with no help in sight.
