YW STRIVE is designed to help participants who face employment or underemployment barriers develop the professional habits and skills that are most sought after by local employers. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a Strive Professional Certificate and be better prepared to obtain a living-wage career or start their own business. A 7-week set of classes focusing on digital literacy, financial literacy, economic empowerment, and job readiness, YW STRIVE encourages individuals to challenge themselves and apply existing skills, and past experiences, and to learn new skills by applying their knowledge to create economic opportunities in the workplace and beyond. Participants receive a FREE Chromebook and a 1-year free internet service upon successful completion of the program.
