Sounds like someone is a bit confused. With the GOP in charge of the house, the democrats know that ethic charges will be brought against prominent democrats like pelosi, schipp, waters, johnson and others. McCarthy is trying to make a deal with the democrats to do away with the ethics board if they back him for house speaker. This ploy may very well put him in a position to overcome the negative votes from republican house members since it will protect democrats who have ill served our country. Hopefully, McCarthy will be rejected and the republicans will elect someone who actually has ethics and will let the chips fall where they may.
