Description

Here’s the deal –I have a restaurant variety trio—we’ve been together for many years and play regularly in the DFW area—when I say restaurant trio I mean that we play almost exclusively restaurants and wine rooms and the like—this means that most places we play do not have the room and/or sonic capability to support a full band with drums and bass player—Consequently, to achieve the full sound that I prefer to have I program my own bass lines and percussion parts and sync them up to my live guitar-how I achieve this I guess I would call my trade secret—anyway, we’ve been very successful in what we’re doing and are getting offers to play places that I feel could use a bigger live sound than just the 3 of us can do (2 guitars and 1 female lead vocal)—I’m going into detail here to line this out so that it's very clear what I’m needing: We need a drummer to play a very basic acoustic setup: snare drum, hi hat and probably a ride cymbal with some percussion maybe attached to that (cowbell etc)—before you tell me that your small cocktail kit would be perfect for this let me say that it won’t—even a cocktail kit has proven to be too loud and take up too much room—we may run into a room that we could use later that but not right now— Now, I say snare drum and hi-hat because although we play small spots we need some pretty high energy on some things so you would need to be animated and engaged—the idea is to bring the energy level up but still keep stage volume down—I say this because I think that would be the best rig for this but I would also consider some of you cajon kit players if you thought it might work- And yes, the tempo is locked in but the “feel’ of the music is not—I do not use auto-correction—if you could play to just my guitar you’ll be able to play with this setup—just trying to lay this out as best I can—if you want to check us out live let me know and I’ll tell you where we’re at or you can text me and just come to jam with with us at rehearsal ( that would be best )—we practice regularly and play quite a bit but we try not to go out every single weekend so we have time off—at least for now—seems to be picking up- Anyway, there you have it—age or gender not important-females encouraged to apply as they say—band member age is early 20’s to 60’s—let me know if you’re interested—thanks--BT please be in the Ft.Worth area--only way this will work
