Maintenance Mechanic/Fabricator – East Palestine, OH Allen Chase Enterprises, Inc. focuses on offering high quality infrastructure maintenance services to clients throughout the Northeast and Midwest United States. Specializing in Weed and Brush Vegetation Control Services; we offer a wide variety of services and programs for commercial, industrial, and private organizations. Maintenance Mechanic: Job Purpose: Maintain our fleet of specialized vehicles and equipment to support our field operations. Salary: $45,000 - $70,000 / yearly. Dependent on qualified skill level, experience, and hours worked. Benefits: Health Insurance Dental and Eye Insurance 401K Holidays Vacation Duties: (Not an all-inclusive list) • Test drive vehicles and test components and systems. • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts and replacing as necessary for correct performance. • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing orders; verifying receipt. • Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturers' performance specifications. • Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes. • Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors. • Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions. • Tear down, repair, and rebuild faulty assemblies, such as power systems, steering systems, and linkages. • Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas. • Plan work procedures, using charts, technical manuals, and experience. • Maintain cleanliness of work area. • Repair radiator leaks. • Repair and service air conditioning, heating, engine cooling, and electrical systems. • Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear, using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. * Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. * Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. * Contributes to team effort, manages ones time effectively, and see's to the appropriate use of the equipment, facilities, and materials needed to complete assigned work tasks. *Fabrication experience is a plus.
