About Us: Agi's Dogs is a dog walking service that provides peace of mind for pup parents by taking care of their dog's needs as they work long hours. We provide midday walks to dogs of busy executives during the workweek. Agi's Dogs specializes in small playgroups. Agi, our founder, decided to start her own small group centered dog walking business on Roosevelt Island in 2010 after experience working with small dog playgroups, socialization and social interaction. Agi's Dogs prides itself in its relationships with both humans and dog's alike. Position: Dog Walker Role: Walk dog groups with up to 5 dogs at the same time. Safely facilitate play and dog interactions; be able to read dogs' body language very well. Be a pack leader: lead dog communities and provide conflict resolution by interfering if anything happens. Provide excellent communication about dogs to team and pup parents. Be able to give feedback and have timely conversations. Onboard dogs so they are good group walkers. Have availability between 11am-5pm for a consecutive 4 hours for a weekly set schedule, and be physically fit. Experience: Manage 3-5 dogs onleash and offleash Breaking up fights Understand all tempers Walking for a min of 4 hours a day Mobile application friendly Oversight in dog runs, co-exist with other dog walkers and dogs ( facilitate play ) Some attitudes you may share with us already: Must be a leader Trustworthy and transparent Be attentive and care for dogs Accountability and integrity Situational awareness Compensation: Hourly rate based on experience Application: Please send Cover Letter answering the questions: Why do you want this position?
