Rehoming Beautiful, Black Great Dane

On December 10 we added this beautiful, gentle soul into our family. He was a rescue from an animal shelter and we have almost no info on him. We do know he’s approximately 7/8yo. He is fixed. He tested heartworm negative at our vet. He did have some vaccines given at that time as well. DAPP with Leptospirosis and Bordetella given so far. We had previously owned a Great Dane and were so excited to get Zeus. He gets along with our other dog, even my cats get along with him. They come up to his food dish while he’s eating and no issues. But needs to be in an ADULT ONLY home. Zeus runs at our son growling every time he comes to our room where the dogs and I spend a good amount of time. Zeus was fine with our son out in the living room/kitchen but last night my son was arguing with me and Zeus started growling and barking at him. I do believe Zeus is just being protective of me but I can’t let my son get hurt. When we took Zeus to the vet he was well behaved with everyone. He sleeps with us without problems. He’s fully housebroken. We are able to leave him free to roam the house when we go out without issue. We love Zeus but cannot put our son’s safety in jeopardy. There is a rehoming fee of $150 OBO.
