Milwaukee, WI - Milwaukee Youth Sports Alliance will hold its annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) Celebration, February 1, 2023 at 8:30am-12:00pm. It will take place at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. Awards will be presented to outstanding women athletes, coaches and professionals in Milwaukee. The Milwaukee Youth Sports Alliance Awards Breakfast is one of more than 500 events taking place across the country for National Girls & Women in Sports Day (#NGWSD). The day is devoted to recognizing the progress of girls and women in sports, and the benefits that sports and fitness activities can bring to our lives. The day is organized nationally by the Women's Sports Foundation. Guests from across Milwaukee representing various sports and professions are expected to attend. "We're pleased to once again, recognize the tremendous impact of local women in sports", noted Milwaukee Youth Sports Alliance, Executive Director Quentin Prince. This celebration inspires girls and women to play and be active, to realize their full power. The confidence, strength and character gained through sports participation are the very tools girls and women need to become strong leaders. NGWSD honors the achievements of female athletes, coaches and leaders by acknowledging the power of sports to unlock her limitless potential.
