This is an introductory course on the use of the shotgun for personal defense. In this course students will review firearm safety, learn how to set up a shotgun for personal defense, ammunition types and selection of ammo, proper gun handling and shooting technique, and other topics. During the range portion of the class we will learn and practice proper shooting technique, patterning your shotgun, gun manipulation and reloading skills. Students will have ample time to practice these skills during the planned shooting drills. This course requires students bring a pump action shotgun or semi-auto shotgun and 150 rounds of birdshot and 50 rounds of buckshot ammunition.
