Leadership takes on many dimensions and encompasses many definitions. During our bi-monthly Leadership Lunch and Learns we invite staff to join one of our YMCA of Central Ohio leaders to learn about their journey, who they are, and what leadership means to them. During this time our leaders will guide a discussion around an article, video, or book exert to deepen your understanding of leadership. Lunch will be provided for participants.This month will feature YMCA of Central Ohio's Chief Advancement and Strategy Officer Brandi AL-Issa.Please read her bio below:Brandi AL-Issa has been working in and serving the Columbus community since 2003; with over 16 years of public service and now in the non-profit sector. Her passion for human-centered strategy and leadership helps transform organizations and cultures to increase their impact. Brandi is the Chief Advancement and Strategy Officer for the YMCA of Central Ohio where she oversees strategy, advancement and growth. Prior to the YMCA, Brandi was the Deputy Innovation Officer for the City of Columbus, Chief of Community Relations for Columbus Recreation and Parks, Deputy Director of Strategic Initiatives at the Ohio Department of Commerce and Assistant City Administrator for the City of Gahanna. Brandi is a certified coach and a part time faculty member at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs. Brandi is a graduate of Leadership Columbus and a member of the 2021 Forty Under Forty Class. She has her undergraduate and masters degrees in Public Administration.
