ISO small breed female dog/puppy

I am in search of a small breed dog/puppy. We are now retired and really cannot afford an excessive rehoming fee. I am interested in mixed breeds if available. Mixes of poodle/yorkie/ pug/shih tzu/Lhasa Apso/terrier/Papillon/Pom/etc. Hubs and I have owned 5 Greyhounds over the past several years. Very active with fostering and adopting retired racing greyhounds. We have a wonderful vet that can speak for our attention to care of any pet. Just seeking something smaller because the larger breeds are getting to be a bit much for us to handle. We have also had chihuahuas, yorkies, terriers and a delightful Afghan Hound many years ago. I have found local folks with wonderful pet quality dogs, but the "fee" is beyond what we can do at this time. We have a large (nearly 1 acre) fenced yard. As I said, i am looking for a female dog- I will get her spayed. Likewise, please share this with any adoption groups in the area.
