Soho.Home.Studio invites you to a multi-sensory wine and perfume workshop, where you can learn how to create your own custom roll-on perfume inspired by the tasting notes in your favorite wine. The event starts with a scent exploration and wine tasting led by sommelier, Ruby Smith-Merovitz and a tasting of non-alcoholic wine alternative brand NON, led by founder Aaron Trotman. Linda Sivrican, founder of Capsule Parfumerie, then shows you how to make your own perfume using the culinary and botanical notes inspired by our tasting. About Linda Sivrican Linda Sivrican is an award-winning perfumer and formulator at Capsule Parfumerie in Los Angeles, California. Sivrican’s Vietnamese name, Thuy Huong, translates to ‘gentle fragrance.’ She suspects her mother — herself a chef and floral designer — must have known that her daughter’s destiny would entwine with the world of perfume. Since 2012, Linda has composed and formulated a range of small batch, hand-blended, premium scents under the Capsule Parfumerie umbrella. Her work has been lauded by industry experts and publications such as L'Officiel, Vogue, Oprah, Allure, and the Wall Street Journal. Each brand — 7 to date, with an eighth on the way — prompts a special opportunity for her to draw upon aspects of her spirit and sensibility, ranging from the coastal to the cosmic. About NON & Aaron Trotman A self-described serial entrepreneur and serious foodie, Aaron Trotman founded NON as a love letter to his wife and now business partner Miranda. The 0.0% ABV alt wine was inspired by their meals in some of the world’s highest-rated restaurants - Miranda is sober, and would often choose the non-alcoholic pairings served with these Michelin-starred tasting menus. Trotman was inspired to create a drink with similar DNA that connoisseurs could enjoy at any time, and he hand crafted NON’s 7 expressions in a purpose-built space in Melbourne using real food and innovative culinary techniques. NON is now served in place of the kitchen making them in-house in the restaurants that inspired its creation and is rolling out across the U.S. About Ruby Smith-Merovitz Ruby Smith-Merovitz has been a respected figure in the international food and wine world for over 20 years, and a certified sommelier since 2012. Her thirst for knowledge and experience has taken her around the world exploring wine regions, and through the professional worlds of restaurants, wine shops, wine trading, and wholesale. Originally from Canada, Ruby has lived in Toronto, Calgary, London, and now calls Los Angeles home. Ruby's extensive experience in wine distribution has led her to the burgeoning non-alcoholic beverage market where she serves as Brand Ambassador for the industry-leading Australian NA wine alternative brand, NON.
