Stacey Ballis is a novelist, cookbook author, and freelance writer based in Chicago. A fifth-generation Chicagoan, her Jewish family originally hails from the Russian/Polish border. “Where She is From” culinarily lives at that intersection of Eastern European Jew and Northside Chicago. Stacey is Southern by marriage, her husband Bill Thurmond’s family has been in Kentucky since the 1700s, and she and Bill share a passion for the work and people of the SFA, and for Oxford, which feels like a bonus hometown to them both. As before, this is a Family-Style event, so get ready to buddy up with your neighbors! There will be two seating times; the first at 5:30PM and the second at 8:00PM. Please be sure to choose the correct time when purchasing your tickets, and let us know of any special requests, dietary restrictions, etc. Ticket price includes dinner, tax and gratuity. Beverages purchased separately at the restaurant.
