LEARN TO PLAY LACROSSE FROM PROFESSIONAL LACROSSE PLAYER ETHAN WALKER! This FREE event is designed to introduce the game of lacrosse to kids who want to learn more about the sport. Kids will be introduced to the equipment and learn a few basics. This is a low commitment, NO cost opportunity to learn about the fastest growing youth sport in the country, and learn about local opportunities to play in lacrosse leagues in your backyard this spring. Training will be led by PLL Waterdog Attackman and Homefield Lacrosse Director Ethan Walker, with help from local high school lacrosse coaches, and players. This learn to play event is presented in partnership by LAKC Lacrosse League, Lacrosse the City & Homefield Kansas City NO EXPERIENCE OR EQUIPMENT NEEDED! OPEN TO KIDS GRADES K-8 DAY OF SCHEDULE 1:00-2:00 PM: Group 1 - Grades K-42:30-3:30 PM: Group 2 - Grades 5-8 Check-in will begin 15 minutes prior to your group session. LOCATION Homefield Olathe 2115 E. Kansas City Rd, Olathe KS 66061 | Maracana Field Closest entrance to field is on the backside of the facility. WHO CAN ATTEND? Open to kids grades K-8. Note this event is to introduce the game of lacrosse to new players and is not designed for experienced lacrosse players. Experienced players are encouraged to invite your friends interested in the sport to attend! COST? $0. Free to the public. DO I NEED TO SIGN-UP TO ATTEND? Yes. We have space for 40 kids per group. Register for the "free" ticket and we will reserve a spot for you. WHAT TO WEAR: Wear athletic attire (shorts, athletic shoes). If you have cleats, wear them but certainly not required.
