Description
Starting Pay: $15/hr contract work + hotel, milage, and meals for parade events.
Responsibilities:
Repair, install, and adjust floral sheeting, twist and fringe using a staple gun.
Application of paint and glitter on props.
Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion.
Experienced in (or able to learn) pulling trailers on highways and side roads.
Ability to set up and tear down parade floats for events, local and out of town.
Inventory management.
Keep work area clean and clear of hazards, adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Perform in a professional manner at customer facing events.
Qualifications:
Positive attitude, energized, and a passion for creativity.
US Citizenship or an established work visa.
Fully available during March, April, June, July, October, November & December. These are our busiest months.
Ability to safely use some small hand tools. (Staple gun, drill gun)
Ability to handle physical workload, adaptable to adverse weather conditions.
Self-motivated, good communication skills.
Flexible, fast learner & retains information and able to execute skills efficiently.
Physical demands include lifting to 40lbs, bending, reaching, standing, and climbing on top of parade float.
Artistic and design experience is a plus.
Reliable truck or SUV that is capable of towing trailers is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and clean record.
Ability to travel with parade float and spend nights away from home (driving 2-10 hours)
