i'm a guitarist and songwriter looking for the first, key piece of a band: a good drummer. i have good equipment and some experience recording and mixing/producing. i have quite a few sketches to play with and develop songs with, along the lines of 90s alternative-rock and grunge with 60s-70s hard rock influence. ideally, looking for a drummer with some similar tastes with good feel and a few ideas that's looking to make some great original music. should be able to find two nights a week to develop original songs, which will lead to shows, recordings, and so on. in my last (solo) project, i realized that there's NO replacement for playing as a group (recording separately loses something, especially as part of the creative process). you can search up my original solo stuff on spotify, apple music, etc. just search "jon ruth." looking to go a little bit harder than that now, as part of a band. after defining the sound a bit, the next part will be finding the right vocalist and bassist.
