This job is for an on-site farmhand at a small cricket farm in north Fort Collins.
Part time & Weekends. 10+ hours per week. Very flexible hours. We are happy to work around your schedule.
We are a rapidly growing cricket farm in Fort Collins, Colorado. We're seeking an individual who's not afraid of insects to join our team. You will be primarily working alone or with up to two other people. We are LGBTQ+ friendly.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to comfortably lift 80 lbs.
Must be able to bend and squat comfortably.
Must be comfortable working in a hot environment.
Must be able to work independently.
Must have basic problem-solving skills.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must not be afraid of insects.
No experience required - we will train.
Animal husbandry and/or agriculture experience preferred.
Handy-person skills are a huge plus.
Job duties:
Insect habitat cleaning, feeding, & watering.
Feed preparation.
Basic record taking & keeping (including but not limited to: insect weights, measurements, counts).
Supply procurement.
Shipping & receiving.
General janitorial and organization tasks.
Equipment build and assembly as needed.
Pay: $16/hour starting.
For those with agriculture experience or handy-person skills, potential for higher starting wage depending on skill set and experience.
