The Florida Ballet is seeking a skilled maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. Candidate will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment, building systems, and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. Maintenance Worker duties and responsibilities: • Perform maintenance activities including and not limited to studios, floors, garbage removal, ceiling tile removal/replacement, lighting and fixture care, general cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping etc. • Ability to perform minor repairs such as fixing broken locks, plumbing • Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues • Yard upkeep including mowing lawn, collecting trash, trimming bushes • Check functionality of safety systems (e.g., fire alarm) • Participate in different projects (e.g., renovations, painting) • Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations • Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations • Maintain sticking and inventory of maintenance and building supplies • Perform other related duties and activities as required • Opening of facility Maintenance Worker qualifications and requirements: • Previous working experience as a Maintenance Worker for 2 years • High school diploma or equivalent • Hands on experience with hand and electrical tools • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Manual dexterity and physical stamina Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00 am-12 noon. Opportunity to expand into a full-time salaried position for the right candidate. Hourly rate: $20 Position available immediately.
