FT/PT Well-Rounded Farm Staff wanted to help with fruit and vegetable production, harvest, marketing, and deliveries, from April/May until Thanksgiving. Long-term employment a possibility. No experience necessary, although a genuine interest, education, or self-education is. Gain skills and knowledge, particularly about fruit growing, to further your specific goals and interests. Successful candidate must be a self-starter and able to follow direction and work independently, as well as be a team player willing to help and guide others. Opportunity exists to take on more responsibility and to be involved long-term from year-to-year for the right person. On-site housing may be available as well, for those who need it. About us: North Star Orchard is a small, direct-to-consumer farm where our focus is on unique and heritage varieties of fruit (over 200 varieties of apples alone) and a limited selection of vegetables. We operate a large fruit CSA, sell at area farmers’ markets, and have an on-site farm store, so there is a lot going on for you to enjoy being involved in. We grow non-certified organically-grown vegetables and IPM tree fruit. We also have an extensive, decades-long apple breeding program.
