Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The 33rd annual Martin Luther King Scholarship Breakfast with PUSH for Excellence is returning in person Monday, January 16, 2023, 8 A.M. to 11 A.M at the Marriott Marquis, 2121 South Prairie Avenue Chicago, IL 60616, bringing together leaders, businesses and the community across the country. Join Rev. Jesse Jackson and PUSH for Excellence as we celebrate the service, legacy and “Blueprint for Life” ideology of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., while continuing our efforts to raise funding for college students in desperate need of assistance. As we strive to reach the goal of true education, we realize that college enrollment is becoming increasingly challenging for thousands of students. Since the inception of PUSH Excel in 1975, we have always endeavored to support students in their pursuit of academic excellence. Since the debut of our annual MLK Breakfast in January 1991, we have supported thousands of students in institutions of higher learning with scholarships in excess of $20 million. Thanks to our generous donors and sponsors, during the pandemic we awarded over a million dollars in scholarships to more than 100 students enrolled in numerous colleges and universities throughout the country.
