This is the FIRST MAUI BURNS NIGHT event we have held since 2020! The location is at St. Johns Meeting Hall in KeoKea, Kula, Maui.
The Isle of Maui Pipe Band are your hosts for this fun and music filled evening in memory of Scotland's greatest poet, Robbie Burns. This is a fundraising event, to help support the inter-island "Hawaii Caledonia Pipe Band" with pipes and drummers from Maui, Oahu and the Big Island - to travel to Washington State to represent Hawaii at the 'Seattle-Enumclaw Highland Games' in July 2023 AND to Glasgow, Scotland in Aug 2024 to represent Hawaii - FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER - at the WORLD PIPE BAND CHAMPIONSHIPS!
Come join us for a POTLUCK supper and refreshments, get your kilt on (if you have one) or any tartan skirt or scarf will do. Enjoy a traditional Scottish evening and be a part of the fun and joy this special night brings.
Event is from 5:00pm-9:00pm and tickets are currently just $23 per person (Limited tickets available, so book early!) After Jan 17th, 2023 tickets will be $33.00 per person)
Event is at St. Johns Meeting Hall, KeoKea, Kula, Maui (see map)
Bring an entree, perhaps a salad or appetizer, dessert if you like and of course beverages to share.
REMINDER - Bring your own potluck dinner and drinkware, utensils, napkins etc. Pretend its a picnic, but inside and with a view that makes your heart sing!
Your MC will be Scotland's own Prakash MacKay, a native son of Scotland and long time Maui resident. It's worth coming just to hear his accent. Entertainment provided by Isle of Maui Pipe Band, plus special guest artists.
