Summary/Objective Olson Construction Services is seeking a Water Works Laborer candidate. Essential functions, minimum requirements and salary information are detailed below. Position will grow into operator training for motivated individuals. Essential Duties Performs all tasks as related to the repair & maintenance of water & wastewater mains & services. Demonstrates the ability to be trainable on all equipment related to the maintenance & repairs of water & wastewater mains & services. May pick up needed materials & deliver to job sites. Uses a variety of hand & power tools as related to the repair & maintenance of water & wastewater mains & services. Cleans & maintains tools, equipment, & all work areas. Performs related duties as required or assigned. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically at least Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00pm; 50 hours per week pay. This position frequently requires long hours and overtime may be required. Preferred Education and Experience 1 year Construction or utility repair experience is strongly preferred. No educational requirements. Eligibility Qualifications Must be able to pass initial and random drug testing. Diluted results will not be accepted. Applicant possess a valid state driver’s license prior to employment and good driving record.
