Any like minded souls fancy the idea of working through some repertoire - Londiex/Mule etc? I'm a pro improviser who reads good but would like more experience in the classical arena of blending/dynamic awareness in a group setting. Also improv collaborators to explore, funk/jazz/soul/ original music in an intelligent, mature way. If names like Bergonzi, Maceo, Aretha, Turrentine, Brecker, Garbarek, Lateef, Rollins, Ornette, Purdie, Idris Muhammed, Gene Harris, Les Mcann etc resonate with you then we probably on the same page. Particularly interested in odd meter, blues, soul, love blue note/prestige catalog. I play sop, alto, tenor and have a GREAT space with drums, piano, guitars etc... (Finally escaped Brooklyn!). Organic homemade lentil soup, sourdough bread and kumbucha always on hand! :) even just another horn would be great... looking for like minded/experienced musicians where the friendships are just as important as the music! :) Tired of big egos who sell the sizzle on social media who sadly have no steak. As we know, music is a vast ocean and the further we wade into it the deeper it gets. Music is universal, it defies race and gender and ( i believe) will help to bring humanity together. I identify as a human being on planet earth who struggles with the same challenges we all do, i just know i'm happier when i make music with others. I used to have a 'profile' (....meaning 6 college kids and 3 old men might know who i am!) but it doesn't matter about 'good' or 'bad' anymore.
