Her music has received critical acclaim and she has established herself as a genre-bending artist with her own sound...acoustic warmth combined with elaborate electronic-based production and poignant lyricism from a dynamic and accomplished songsmith. This is forward-thinking, thought-provoking, sophisticated pop music that runs deep. Raised in northern Maine by loving, kind, musical, abusive, alcoholic parents, Sparxsea and her sister spent days in nature, while nights at home were a battlefield. Mornings were usually forced into fresh starts, as peace became the ultimate goal. Sparxsea always dreamt of being a singer, but became a dentist and the first in her family to graduate college. The loss of her mother to an opiate overdose in 2011 fractured Sparxsea's family and sent her into a depression that birthed EP SHINE (2018), a record that would open doors for her and serve as a catalyst to her career. Her uplifting single, “Alive” (2016) is featured in the indie film 'Dole Mates' (2022) and her dark pop single “Don’t Let The Fire Die” (2019) was selected for the Damnationland soundtrack and was the title track at the festival. During the 2020 pandemic, Sparxsea released her single "Little Wooden Boat" from forthcoming LP On the Sea (2023), illuminating trauma-based fear of imperfections and the unknown. Its video stars solo sailor Holly Martin on her ongoing journey around the world. In late 2020, Sparxsea released "Chariot", a serenade to lifelong adventure, sung from stunning lupine fields in midcoast Maine. Her most recent single, "Forever Love", was released in November 2022 and is a gentle ode to the changing seasons of life, featuring classical guitar by Tim Reynolds. On the Sea is an album of discovery that features Nikki Glaspie (Nth Power, Beyoncé), Tim Reynolds (Dave Matthews Band), Nate Edgar (Nth Power, John Brown's Body), Jerome Dupree (Morphine), Dana Colley (Vapors of Morphine, Morphine), David Yearwood (Forét Endôrmie), Rebecca Kingsley, and Devon Collela (Quad). It is being produced by Will Bradford (SeepeopleS, theWorst) and Will Holland (The Pixies) at Chillhouse Studios in Boston, MA. For more info please visit: solo.to/sparxsea about Will Bradford (SeepeopleS) Will Bradford is the band leader and songwriter for the national touring act SeepeopleS. (as well as bassist for touring act, TheWorst). SeepeopleS was formed in 2000 in Boston MA, the band has toured ceaselessly since its inception, playing some 1500 + shows across the country, and releasing seven studio albums to wide critical acclaim. Some of the records include contributions from members of Morphine, Spearhead, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Parliament Funkadelic and Tim Reynolds (Dave Matthews Band). As a solo performer, Bradford has toured with Tim Reynolds and Brian Vanderark (Verve Pipe) and has shared the stage with the likes of Chris Barron (Spin Doctors), Michael Glabecki (Rusted Root), and the 10,000 Maniacs, to name a short-few. In 2017 he was nominated for "Best Songwriter" (2017) for the Portland Phoenix Awards. In the past, his band SeepeopleS has been nominated for an Independent Music Award (2017), Relix Award (Best New Artist 2007) and New England Music Award (Best Live Act 2016-17), and his music has been featured on TNT (Judging Amy), ABC (The Gates), NASCAR, Discovery Channel, and in such movies as Canvasman, Wheels Over Paradise and The Legend Of Cody Collins, as well as three SeepeopleS songs that were featured in the Headcount voting documentary Call To Action. SeepeopleS also has the dubious honor of being the first band to have their music video removed and banned by Facebook / Instagram after the Cambridge Analytica scandal. The video, 'New American Dream,' which won the 2017 Platinum Pixie award for Best Animation, was created by Peter List, best known for his work on the cult-hit MTV show Celebrity Deathmatch and Marilyn Manson's 'Astonishing Panorama Of The End Times.' With the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent shutdown across the music industry, and his usual and constant national touring schedule coming to an abrupt halt, Bradford has been focusing on finishing the eighth SeepeopleS studio album with long time co-producer Will Holland (Pixies, Fall Out Boy, Dead Can Dance), working, rehearsing and recording with his other band TheWorst (who are currently finishing their second full length album with Will Holland), and running his non-profit record label, CommunityZ RecordZ.
