Slow draining sink? Nervous to take apart the pipes under the sink to clean them out? Knowing how to unclog a P-trap or S-trap under a sink is a very useful and easy DIY skill for the average homeowner and can help save money.
In this class students will learn about:
- Overview of basic plumbing terms and tools
- how to identify different plumbing issues
- location of shut off valves
- things to look for before taking action
-the difference between materials one may need
- thread dope vs. plumber’s tape, plumber’s putty, PVC glue, etc.

About the teacher:
Annie Darlin Gordon (she/her) is the founder of Do It Yourself Darlin. Her home repair skill set comes from a year-long AmeriCorps service term with Habitat for Humanity, 3 years of private home renovation, a year of running DIYD’s workshops, and 5 years of owning and renovating her beautiful and very needy 1916 home in East Price Hill. Annie is also a professional flutist and music educator and teaches woodwinds at Price Hill Will’s free after school music program, MYCincinnati.

All Do It Yourself Darlin Workshops are donation-based, geared towards beginners, and open to anyone age 16+. DIYD is 100% funded through grants and donations and your “ticket” is a donation to our program that will help us directly cover the expenses necessary to produce this workshop.
