Join us for a laid-back evening in one of Pittsburg’s most historic buildings — The Opera House Hotel, which helped the entertainment scene in this town get its start — as we kick off a year of live music events at Root Coffeehouse & Creperie. Tickets: $10 prior through Jan. 13; $15 at the door the day of the show.
“Alli and I” began their journey in 2007 when Andrew Standley took his guitar, Alli, to the corner of 7th & P Streets in Lincoln, Nebraska, and sang for passersby in the Historical Haymarket. After recording his first album on GarageBand in a friend’s spare bedroom, he took to the road with his heart on his sleeve.
Fifteen years later and the acoustic ensemble is rolling stronger than ever. Known for melodic anthems like “Hillside Street,” Standley has played from Boston to LA. His discography includes two EPs, an LP, and a live album, with new songs on the way.
His live show is authentic and dynamic, with just the right blend of songs and storytelling. Don’t miss it!
Cap off your evening with dinner and a drink at one of two restaurants across the street: the scratch-kitchen gastropub ,"Brick + Mortar Social House," or the funky little restaurant with big flavor, "TOAST."
