The St. Johns County WAVE program is a combined effort of the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, the St. Augustine Beach Police Department and the St. Augustine Police Department to bring a basic personal safety awareness and self defense program to women ages 12 to adult living or working in St. Johns County. This Level Two program includes the Level One personal safety awareness discussions and then basic self defense physical training. This training should accommodate most all fitness levels, but if you have concerns, you should discuss the program with your doctor. The Level Three program takes the physical training further to include a fight with an aggressor in a padded RedMan suit. (This level is taught separately at a later time for those who are interested)
