Looking for musicans and place to publicly jam.

I am an older musician that likes to play a variety of music from classic rock, rock, southern rock, country rock, blues and some country. I play guitar, keyboards and sing (lead and backup). I have good equipment. I have talked to many older musicians that would like to play out, but don't want to be in in a band. They just want to meet someplace, jam and have some fun. I would like to talk to those interested and see if we could get a public place (like a bar, a hall, VFW, etc.) to host the location on a day (or night) that would work for everyone. I believe that if there was enough interest, we could acquire some PA gear (stored at the location or nearby). The musicians could bring their equipment and we could organize (who, what and where) when we get there. Initially it might be just something that one or two people get started playing and others jump in! I would encourage everyone even if you haven't played for a while. The location owner could benefit by selling goods during a time that normally is slow to people that would show up. There's been quite a few successful jams in Des Moines. Anyone remember 'Blues on Grand?'. Would like to give it a try and see where it goes. We're not getting any younger. Thanks for reading.
