Description
I’m looking for the right person to take my dog in, I am expecting a child this summer and cannot keep him due to his dog aggression.
I have had him for 5 years now and rescued him off the street in Texas. He is roughly 8 years old. Since the day he showed up he has been a light in my life and we’ve grown immensely with our time together.
He has always had a dog aggression that triggers only when a dog is in his immediate space (close proximity). No issues besides staring if you are walking him and he does not bark, or growl or lunge unless in close proximity.
Aside from his anxieties; he is the best thing I could ask for. A great best friend. He would benefit best from a “pack leader” relationship. He knows many commands; Speak (a very quiet dog unless you tell use the command) Sit, Laydown, Break (used to get him to not follow you around the house), Paw, hold it( for balancing a ball on his snout), Go potty (he has never had an accident inside unless my fault), Roll over, etc.
His biggest motivations are orange tough chew tennis balls, playing fetch with those balls and of course snacks! He absolutely loves walks but make sure to keep an eye out for other pups. He is fine unless they get close to him as stated earlier. He loves to hike, be outside and is just as happy to hang inside and lounge. He’s a very loyal dog and would be great for someone looking for an adventure buddy or a homebody type.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please feel free to follow up with any questions.
