Competent, solid, intermediate(+) level electric bassist, new to Newtown and free from the shackles of business ownership to fully commit to this musical journey. Musical objectives: Assemble dedicated jazz instrumentalists with chops to explore all jazz forms in a studio setting; solely for fun, collaboration and artistic growth. Bassist goals: Form a unit with the rhythm section, play in the pocket, arpeggiate over chord changes, formulate walking bass lines and improvisation. Background: Lifelong serious music enthusiast with five years concentrated electric bass study including one-on-one lessons with Damian Erskine. Musical interests include studying theory, reading standard notation and improvising over chord charts. Studio setting, pro equipment and attitude. Let’s talk.
