The Chopin Foundation of the United States is proud to present the annual Chopin for All free concert series, bringing top pianists from around the globe to our doorstep here in South Florida. Seventeen-year-old Khrystyna Mykhailichenko is one of Ukraine’s most promising young musicians. Khrystyna is a first-prize winner of numerous national and international competitions (the Netherlands, Belgium, Ukraine etc.), and she has won Grands Prix three times. She was awarded top prizes at the International Competition for Young Pianists “Ascent,” the International Competition “Accords of Khortitsa,” the Vladimir Horowitz International Young Pianists Competition, and the Merci Maestro International Competition. Three times she was in the top 10 children, according to WoMo – the brightest teenagers of the year, whose achievements were recognized (2015-2017). She is also a participant of numerous social projects in Ukraine, as well as charity performances. Her repertoire comprises more than 35 performances with Symphony and Chamber orchestras. She has played concerts in New York, Washington at the World Bank, performed at the leading stages and Music Academies of Brussels, Paris, Antwerp, Vienna, Bruges, Istanbul, in Germany and the Netherlands, in the halls of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine in Kyiv and Lviv, as well as Philharmonic Halls of Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Khmelnitsky, and Dnipro. In April 2022, Khrystyna had been scheduled to perform Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with the National Philharmonic in Kyiv, a performance which had to be cancelled due to the Russian invasion of her country.
