Admission is free for UW students when tickets are purchased ahead of time. WHAT TO EXPECT This very special event will feature local artists who lead you through various mantra meditation exercises combined with one of a kind musical experiences. Mantra meditation is a type of sound bath harmonizing healing vibrations with group singing/chanting. Join us as we take you on a musical meditative journey to refresh your inner self and help you focus on understanding your purpose for the year. There will also be a free catered vegetarian/vegan dinner provided following the event. WHAT IS MANTRA MEDITATION? Mantra Meditation is a type of Sound Bath and Yoga which is an immersive experience combining powerful soundwaves and group singing/chanting to help individuals better connect with their inner selves. Yoga means to unite, Mantra Meditation will help unite your mind to your body and soul. The sounds and singing during a Mantra Meditation session are an invitation to journey into a deeper state of consciousness as an opportunity to gain perspective on what's going on within you. The goal of the experience is to invite deep relaxation, restoration and explore self-inquiry and self-discovery. WHO IS THIS FOR?
