Did you know that 1 in 5 underserved families do not register their kids in youth sports because of the price of sports equipment? Since 2013, Leveling the Playing Field has worked every day to engage our community to ensure that every child has access to during and out of school time sports activities no matter what their economic situation is. Every year they distribute millions of dollars worth of equipment into our most vulnerable communities. We need YOU to keep up the momentum. What to expect: Welcome: Intros, overview, and tour of LTPF (15 minutes)Sort: Volunteers will be tasked with sorting and inventorying incoming donations, reorganizing shelves and on occasion helping to put together donations that are going out into the community.Afterjawn: Once we finish sorting, scrapping, and shopping, we'll all head to a local establishment for some drinks, food, and celebrations of a job well done! Tips for a successful volunteer session: Dress comfortably and wear comfortable shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirtyBring your own gloves if you are not comfortable handling used and sometimes sweaty sporting goods. Bring your own water bottleIf you are unable to attend - especially if you are showing symptoms of COVID-19, have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or had direct contact with an individual diagnosed with or suspected to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days - cancel your ticket so that others may sign up for your space
