We are hosting a Winter Solstice gift exchange for the arts community of Denver to celebrate the turn of the seasons and to introduce Denver artists across disciplines to each other. Participating artists will bring a local art piece or service to gift another artists in a secret exchange. Artists who participate will also have the opportunity to sell their works to each other and to the general public during the event. The exchange will take place at Idolize, a local designer’s store in Five Points neighborhood, on Wednesday, 1/4/23 from 6pm-10pm. KDJ Above's Solitude Sessions, a recurring stream on Twitch, will deliver sounds for the evening with support from Idolize. Beverages and bites will be provided. The space is intimate and we ask that participating artists RSVP via Eventbrite. The RSVP is for gift exchange participation only. You do not need to RSVP in order to come shop and support the artists who will be vending. Those who RSVP for the exchange will receive a message informing you of which artist you will give a gift to. The art piece or service can be a work of your own or by another local artist, eg. a locally designed article of clothing, a visual art piece, a reiki session, a sound therapy session, etc., with a maximum value of $100. If you are planning to sell your art/services at the event, we ask that you have a range of prices ($5-50) that patrons can choose from in order to make shopping accessible for all artists and the public.
