Weatherizing a home helps to keep it as dry and as warm or cool as possible throughout all four seasons and can also help to save a homeowner some money on gas and electricity bills. Old homes are notoriously difficult to weatherize, but knowing where to start is key. In this workshop, we will discuss tips for weatherizing doors and windows, learn about how insulation works, talk about the purpose of gutters and how often to check on them to keep them functioning, and how to keep an eye on your outdoor water supply lines.
