In this workshop, students will be shown how to fix damaged drywall with hands on practice. We’ll learn how to prepare or remove a section of damaged drywall, patch or replace it with new drywall, apply coats of drywall mud, and sand it down to perfection, before painting. About the teacher: Annie Darlin Gordon (she/her) is the founder of Do It Yourself Darlin. Her home repair skill set comes from a year-long AmeriCorps service term with Habitat for Humanity, 3 years of private home renovation, a year of running DIYD’s workshops, and 5 years of owning and renovating her beautiful and very needy 1916 home in East Price Hill. Annie is also a professional flutist and music educator and teaches woodwinds at Price Hill Will’s free after school music program, MYCincinnati. About Do It Yourself Darlin’s workshops: All Do It Yourself Darlin Workshops are donation-based, geared towards beginners, and open to anyone age 16+. DIYD is 100% funded through grants and donations and your “ticket” is a donation to our program that will help us directly cover the expenses necessary to produce this workshop.
