A Few Blocks Away exhibits a collection of photographs depicting connection, growth, and resilience through the lens of three New York City photographers of different perspectives and backgrounds. This exhibit follows The Great Resignation, also known as the Big Quit, an ongoing economic trend in which employees have voluntarily resigned from their jobs en masse, beginning in early 2021 in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The artists featured in this exhibit capture moments inspired by the spirit of perseverance, following your passion, and trusting the journey to success through portraiture, investigation of space, and personal storytelling through photojournalism. Each of these artists inspires to establish their presence in contemporary photography by telling personal and communal stories through their lens.
