The San Antonio Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, is “Continuing the Celebration” of World Aids Day. San Antonio Alumnae is proud to host, “Living Healthy with HIV/AIDS” to commemorate World Aids Day by providing outreach efforts to stem the AIDS epidemic in our families, communities, country and abroad. There will be a presentation and discussion on medications, eating healthy, “becoming undetectable” and “know your status” by Dr. Barbara Taylor. Ms. Mia Morris will provide resources and strategies for dealing with children who are a part of a HIV family. Nutritional recipes and snacks with be provided. Jazz Saxophonist Billy Ray Sheppard will perform. Guests: Dr. Barbara Taylor—Asst Dean of MD/MPH Professor of UT Health, Mia Morris, LPC—The Aces of Aids and Billy Ray Sheppard—Jazz Saxophonist.
