Apex NATIONAL DAY OF SERVICE The National Day of Service is a defining moment each year when people across the country unite to create the beloved Community of Dr. King’s dream. During the last 25 years, the MLK Day of Service has inspired people to actively improve communities. On Monday, Jan. 16, the Town of Apex, Apex Baptist Church and its community partners invite you to join us for our first National Day of Service followed by a Food Truck Rodeo. Please register for a service project and consider purchasing a T-shirt to wear when we serve on January 16. Cost: $20 LOCATION: Fellowship Hall, Apex Baptist Church, 110 South Salem Street, Apex SERVICE PROJECTS Food Pantry - Volunteers will gather, deliver and shelve food collections for Western Wake Crisis Ministry. Some lifting required. Transportation needed. Adults only. Lunch Packing for Brown Bag Ministries in the Fellowship Hall of Apex Baptist Church. All ages and abilities are welcome. Trash Collecting - Volunteers will collect trash using gloves and trash bags at various outdoor locations designated locations. Children are welcome. Transportation needed. Most needed items are: Rice-A-Roni , Stuffing, Instant Potatoes, Canned Meat, Low Sugar- Canned Fruit, Hygiene Products, Baking Products, Low-Salt Canned Vegetables, Toothbrushes,Ramen Noodles , Toothpaste, Body Wash, Dental Floss, Condiments, Salad Dressing, Tomato Products - No Glass , Spices, Pasta, Shampoo & Conditioner Please take your donations to the following locations from January 2-15.
