Culinary Artist Liz Terra has curated a delectable plant-based buffet for this very special evening, and with unique tribal-inspired performances by Secret Society, The Venice Drum Circle, and Drumdala featuring Luna Achiary, this is sure to be a night to remember! Select vendors will be offering wellness and eco-friendly products for sale, with a portion of their proceeds being donated to the orphanage. Dinner will be followed by live performances, dancing, drum circle, mocktails, dessert and a video screening. Be sure to purchase your raffle tickets in advance, so you don't miss out on some of the incredible prizes offered by our vendors including High Vibe Tribe, Studio Flower Child, Super Food Sutra, Tiffinity Art, Kula Veda, Royal Codes, Diosa Astrology, Ritual Adornments and more! A red carpet will greet you as you enter The HeART Department, our gorgeous venue located in the Los Angeles Arts District. We invite you to adorn yourself in African and tribal-inspired evening attire to honor the theme of the event and show your support for Vegan Orphans Support Organization. Details about the organization 100% of the event proceeds will be donated to: Founded by Kalanzi Vincent with support from his dedicated team of fellow earth angels, Vegan Orphans Support Organization was established to improve the welfare of orphans and other vulnerable children in Uganda by providing for their basic needs, psychological support, and to empower critically vulnerable families economically through the provision of income generating projects and initiatives to uplift the community, and to promote children's rights as well as animal welfare throughout the country. More than 30 orphaned children have sought refuge at this safe haven, which is now their home. The orphanage doubles as an animal sanctuary, making this refuge a vital and sacred resource for the community and the many souls who depend on it for food, shelter and compassion. In September of 2022, the organization received official designation as a registered non-profit CBO, registration number MAA/326/2022. Please bring to the event: New or like-new childrens toys (that will fit in a suitcase), childrens and teen clothing, unworn kids/teens shoes, children's art supplies (no choking hazards please), childrens books, veterinary medications/supplements/flea control/first aid supplies, toys for dogs and cats, kitten and puppy formula, leashes & collars, and other items you feel the orphanage & animal rescue could benefit from! Mail delivery services are very unreliable in Uganda, so we're not taking any chances! Our volunteers will be delivering all donation items in-person shortly after the fundraiser event, to ensure these important supplies and much-needed medicines arrive safely. Children are welcome. No cigarette smoking is allowed on the premises or anywhere near to the venue in order to protect the health, safety and comfort of our guests. Special allergy considerations will be taken & ingredient lists will be available for all buffet items. Nut-free and gluten-free options will be plentiful. Some raw options will be available. Buffet is entirely vegan, plant-based and made with abundant love. Produce is locally and ethically sourced. Venue is not wheelchair accessible due to stairs at the entrance. Tickets are non-refundable. 100% of event proceeds will be donated to Vegan Orphans Support Organization, CBO non-profit focusing on saving orphans and animals, based in Kampala, Uganda.
