Seeing an off-site residential apartment maintenance superintendent for mostly on-call and some very light property maintenance work for a 20 unit garden complex in Bound Brook, NJ. Must live within 30 minutes of the property.
Hours are flexible as the maintenance is very light like removing trash from the property and being available for emergency calls. Only requires about 1 to 6 hours per week. Pay is $600 per month regardless if you work only 4 hours or 24 hours. The main responsibilities are:
* Respond to any emergencies
* Meet contractors and service people to let them into apartments or common areas
* Open doors for tenants that forgot their keys
* Keep the laundry room tidy
* Unclog apartment drains
* Fix or replace a leaking faucet
* Small repairs within units, light spackel & paint
* Salting of steps, walkway and parking area before snow storm
* Occasional showing apartments to perspective tenants
Requirements:
* 1+ years of residential maintenance experience
* Will interact with tenants
* Trustworthy, Reliable, organized, strong communication skills, ability to work independently
* Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC are a plus but will train on the job.
* Must have your own tools, driver’s license and vehicle
