Bass player looking for a fun funky band

I have been playing in bar bands since I was 14. I am 40 with a 9-5 and a bunch of kids. Pro gear, and despite being a bass player I have reliable transportation and show up on time ! I have a couple projects going, but would love to put together a shits and giggles, beer drinking, have a great time kinda band. I would love to do some funk. I keep it in the pocket and have a decent ear. I have played in just about every kind of band out there. Would love to do anything Duck Dunn, James Jamerson, bands like Stevie Wonder, Isley Bros, Sly and the family Stone, P funk, Buddy Miles - Them Changes. Know anybody on keys ? Meters, Dr John - Right Place Wrong Time, kinda stuff would be awesome. Newer stuff like RHCP is always fun. I can play just about anything, but what I really like is that funky fun back beat. Want to go outside the stuff Im talking about ? No prob, just make it fun and funky, think songs like Living Colour - Cult Of Personality or check out a band on youtube called the Main Squeeze that would be my ideal situation. They play everything from Black Sabath to James Brown and they make it all funky and fun. That's the kinda funky fun shit I'm talking about ! I know a ton of people, if you are in the area let me know if this is something you are into and what you do and maybe between the two of us we can fill some blanks in and get some stuff going.
