My name is Will and I am a multi-instrumentalist, recording engineer and dub producer living in my hometown of Morrisville, New York looking to form a Roots Reggae & Dub band. I am a drummer primarily but would also play electric guitar or bass. Currently there is a guitar player on board and myself. So if you love reggae and dub music and you play bass, guitar, keyboards, percussion, sax, trumpet and/or trombone player in the greater Syracuse or Utica area and this post calls to you please get ahold of me! My vision is to form a group in the spirit of, John Brown's Body, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Peter Tosh, Clinton Fearon, Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs, Freddie McGreggor, Toots and the Maytals, Scratch Perry, and so on. I am envisioning weekly rehearsals (I’ve got a nice practice space), playing shows, recording albums and touring. We can play originals, covers, and a mix of both. One drop, rub a rub, steppers, rockers, lovers rock, and dub style. Looking to bring the heavy roots and dub sound to central NY. I also have all the gear needed to record an album. Laptop, mics, stands, mixer, daw, etc as well as connections to venues and recording studios for gigs and recording.
