Join us for the weekly jazz jam session at Bourbon Boulevard every Thursday 6-9PM! Come enjoy the great food and drinks at Bourbon Boulevard with swinging jazz! If you play an instrument and want to join in on the jam session, please come talk to me on the piano. There is no sign up sheet. Before the pandemic, there used to be more events and venues for local jazz musicians to hang out and sit in. My goal is to help create such a space for the community here in Northern Virginia. Alfred Yun is an in-demand pianist who has performed across the globe from South Korea to Boston and Washington DC. He has had the fortune of performing at festivals and venues like An Die Musik, KORUS Festival, Lake Anne Jazz Festival, and Jazz In the Country. You can also find him playing at restaurants, wineries, and vineyards in the DMV area. Recently, he’s been leading a series of duets at Lake Anne Coffeehouse. He also performs regularly at Capitol Cider House and Bourbon Boulevard. Alfred Yun’s music is always exciting and groovy. A fan of his trio once said, “it’s jazz with a kind of punk rock aesthetic!” One can expect to hear Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, and Chick Corea in their performances.
