ABOUT US: Bay Area Movers, Inc. is a moving and storage company in the Hampton Roads area. We exclusively transport the household goods of our military. POSITION AVAILABLE: Non-CDL Driver / Delivery Crew Member. QUALIFICATIONS: • Must have a strong work ethic. • Must be dependable with the ability to work, and be on time, every day Monday-Friday. *DEPENDABILITY IS OF THE UPMOST IMPORTANCE!!! • Must present oneself in a professional manner and exhibit strong communication skills. • Must have a good driving record with a valid license. • Must be able to drive a 25 ft box truck • Must be able to work as a team to complete the assigned job. • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly RESPONSIBILITIES: • Fill truck gas tank prior to leaving yard. • As the driver, you will make the initial introduction with the customer, conduct a walk-thru with the member to note any existing damage to home, determine area that need protection (i.e., runners for hardwood floors) and introduce crew members • Must assist in all aspects of the delivery including, but not limited to, assembling furniture, moving boxes & furniture carefully from the truck to the residence, unpacking all boxes and removing any and all trash and supplies pertaining to the move or created by the crew ( i.e. paper, unpacked boxes, beverage bottles etc.). • Drivers are responsible for going over the paperwork with the customer and obtaining all required signature and conducting a walk-thru to note known damage to the residence caused by a crew member. • Notify office immediately of any issue with the truck you may note while driving. BENEFITS: • Paid weekly and potential tips! • Some paid holidays after 90 days & paid vacation after 1 year! • Drivers can make up to $500/month in addition to base pay! • Great workout while getting paid!
