TN Songwriters Week Qualifying Round at Magnolia Manor and Chapel

**NOTE: This event is ONLY for songwriters to register for performing at this event. Additional information will follow for those wanting to attend this event as a spectator.**Magnolia Manor and Chapel is proud to be an official qualifying venue for the 2023 TN Songwriters Week. All singer / songwriters in all genres are eligible to compete. The Magnolia Manor and Chapel qualifier will be Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 2-5 pm. Only 20 spots are available. Winner of the qualifying round will move on to the next round to be held in Memphis the week of Feb. 20-26. Please note the following qualifications to compete:1. You may only select one location to sign-up. Should an Entrant sign up for more than one location, Entrant will be removed from the list and or wait list from all locations. State employees are not eligible.2. You must perform one original song (which you own / retain rights to perform and either wrote or co-wrote) not to exceed five (5) minutes. You will be asked to provide a lyrics sheet. You may sing acapella or have live accompaniment. Light percussion is allowed if there is no set-up time necessary. Entrant may bring up to two (2) performers to play an instrument. Back up tracks are not permitted.3. Each and every performance will be judged by a panel of at least three (3) individuals from the music community in and around Tennessee. Entrants will be evaluated numerically in the following categories:• Song Quality scored on a scale of 1-10: Considering lyrical originality, lack of cliches and clarity of the narrative;• Performance score on a scale of 1-6: Considering instrumental sound (voice or musical instrument), ability of the audience to audibly understand the lyrics and the Entrants connection with the audience.Complete rules for TN Songwriters Week can be found at this link ... https://www.tnvacation.com/2023-tennessee-songwriters-sweepstakes-official-rulesBy completing this registration, you confirm you are available Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 2 - 5 pm to perform.
